Couldn’t keep myself up to write the day’s summary. We
rolled into our night stop at 1:30am. More accurately, hauled ass
over the paso de Jama at 16,000 ft elevation up from 8,000 and back
to 9,000 on the other side of the pass. Tally of the day; Two bikes
were left on the pass, one crushed, bruises no major injury, other
with a busted clutch and a fuel problem. Two team members with
altitude sickness. It was once again a grueling 17 hour 470 miles
trip, alongside the race liaison. Danielle and I are tired but
pumped and ready for the next day.
